Christmas Day Celebration in school

Hat Day
'Hat Day' was held for the children. Children prepared hand made hats. They took part in a parade and displayed their hats to be worn on different occasions.

Carol Singing Competition
Carol singing competition was held and each class was asked to dress in a party dress. Carols are sung during the eve of Christmas. Christmas is a season of love and cheer. Each class sang Christmas Carols and joined in the Christmas Cheer.

Orange Day
Colours have a subtle effect on one's life. It emotes us physically, mentally and spiritually. The tiny tots of Montessori section of our school started the journey of learning filled with fun and frolic with the celebration of 'Orange Day' symbolizing 'Energy'.

Red Day
Children along with the teachers came dressed in red. Junior children were asked to bring any object in red to understand the importance of the colours.

Green Day

Green Day was celebrated symbolizing 'Health & Prosperity'.


Blue Day
Blue Day was celebrated on 19th Sept. Children along with the teachers came dressed in blue. Junior children were asked to bring any object in blue.

Fashion Show
Primary children celebrated XMAS by making collage work Xmas Tree, Snow Man and face mask of Santa Clause.

Independence Day

60th Independence day was celebrated with national fervour and gaiety. Pre-Primary marched past to the set to the tunes played by our own school band were the highlights of the celebration.
Students sung a medley of patriotic songs, which brought pride in the minds of young Laurentians and guests.

Children's Day
Teachers prepared cards and held various competitions. The birthday of Chacha Nehru is celebrated with joy in St. Lawrence High School, Borivli. The teachers involve the Children in various competitions and activities to make the day more special.

Rainy Day

To give respite form the heat of summer, the Montessori kids were made to enjoy the artificial showers of rain and to plunge into the little swimming pool in the school. As expected they were heard saying 'Rain Rain , Come Again'


Drawing Competition
The much awaited competition on Drawing was held among the tiny tots who enjoyed splashing different colours on papers.

Visits
Visit to post office and vegetable market-Montessori kids thronged to the post office to post letters penned by them to their beloved parents, which touched the hearts of their parents.


Talent Hunt Programme
To tap the innate talents of our tiny tots, A Talent Hunt programme was organized where the children put on their dancing shoes and danced to the different tunes of popular songs and kept the audience spell bound.

Grace Garden
Curious to discover the wonderful nature and keen to conserve our environment, students plant various medicinal, flowering and fruit bearing plants in Grace garden, named after the Managing Director of the school and tend those palnts regularly.

Kids Store
To give the tiny-tots first hand experience on buying and selling and to corelate lessons on rudiments of mathematics a 'Kids Store' is opened. Students manage the store and sell station garments for the kids.

Environment Week
Environment week is celebrated every year by planting saplings in the city and organizing competitions such as slogan writing, quiz, poster making and elocution relating to environment.

Sports Day
To nurture the talents of the tiny tots for athletic events and sports 'Sports Day' is observed every year. Every student participated in a number of evens. Talented athlete are provided coaching and trained to participate in zonal level competitions.


The 3rd Ryan Zonal Athletic championship
The 3rd Ryan Zonal Athletic championship was held at the Goregaon sports complex for two consecutive days the 18th and 19th of January 2008 where nearly 3000 Ryanites of different age groups stormed the ground.

Our pre primary student marched in the 3rd Ryan Zonal Athletic championship.



Card Making Competition
Children lovingly prepared greeting cards for their friends and send Diwali Greeting by visiting the post office.

Christmas Day Celebration
Christmas Day celebration was held on 22nd December 2006. Children were asked to wear a party dress. They enjoyed that day. They enjoyed that day with chocolates, cakes etc., was distributed among the children. Music was played and they were .

Puppet Show
Puppet show on different stories were held on 24th Nov.. Teachers of the morning and afternoon conducted the puppet show using hand and stick puppets. Children were made to set down one of the teacher narrated the stories while the other demonstrated them. Children were attentive and eager to listen to the stories.

Kite Day
Kite day was celebrated. Children were then taken to the ground and were shown how to fly a kite in the air. Creative kites were also made by the children.

Parents Day
Children lovingly prepared cards for their parents with a personal touch and thronged the Post Office to post the cards to their beloved parents.

Say No To Plastic
In order to spread the message of 'Say No to Plastic', the children visited Shopping Malls and gifted paper bags. They exchanged paper bags for plastic bags.

Jigsaw Puzzle Competition
Jigsaw puzzle competition were held on 17th Nov. Each child was given a puzzle and told to create a design.

Eat Healthy Be Healthy
Children were told to bring healthy food in their tiffin daily. Through this activity junk food is discouraged.

Personality Development
Children were taught table manners, oral hygiene, personal hygiene & postures.

Aerobics/Yoga: Children were asked to dress in comfortable clothes. All the children were taken down to learnt the basic in Yoga & Aerobics. They were also taught the importance of Yoga.
